Summary: We stayed for a week here in Mexico City and except for a little snafu with getting the keys when we arrived, things were generally good for our stay! The apartment is at the top of a smallish building, with some reasonably steep stairs to get to apartment (was fine for us but maybe not good if not in reasonable shape). The apartment is small but gets lots of light during the day so doesn’t feel it too much; the glass rooftop (maybe it was a former greenhouse) over the living room is a great feature, although can get warm since gets sun most of the day. The small balcony in living room and the little bit bigger balcony off the small kitchen were nice to have and we had both open when hanging out. The place was stocked with the basics but could have used a few more glass, cups, etc. The internet was excellent, water pressure good, and there is a washer/dryer in apartment. The place is really one block away and across the street from el Bosque y Parque de Chapultepec and easy to get to, so that was wonderful. The subway, either at Chapultepec or the closer one, Juanacatlán-essentially at the end of the street (about a 5 minute walk), was very convenient so was easy to get around the rest of the city. It did take a little orientation to the neighborhood in order to let taxis know where apartment is—different drivers called neighborhood different names—but taxis/Uber are easy options. The neighborhood itself is generally quiet and residential, and seemed pretty safe but we found traffic on Avenida Constituyentes (one block away and runs parallel to the Parque) particularly noticeable some evenings/late at night/early mornings—if from a big city like us, this isn’t much an issue. Because it’s mostly residential there’s not too many stores just around the apartment, although there were a few restaurants (an excellent one, Madereros, at the end of the block) and convenience stores in walking distance. While no one ever gave us a name whenever we communicated with the company that ran the apartment and except for the initial miscommunication about the keys, the company’s emails were responsive and professional. And while the apartment isn’t fancy, and did have some little interesting quirks, the pictures are pretty accurate and overall it was a good place to stay and we enjoyed it!
