Villa Maderas is the largest of the three villas at Sendas del Mar which lies in a two and one half acre gated compound on the beach at Barra de Potosi. The beach is an unspoiled nine mile stretch of white sand on the Pacific coast of Mexico fifteen minutes south of the Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo International Airport.
The house has two large master bedrooms each with air conditioning, ceiling fans and en-suite bathroom. The bedrooms are screened and glassed. The large open living/dining room includes an onyx dining table that seats 8. The main area has a soaring cathedral ceiling thatched with local palapa (palm leaf thatch). Palapa roofs are great for a cool interior! Fully equipped kitchen and pantry. Sustainable tropical hardwoods contribute to the magical elegance of the villa. Purified water in every tap. Maid service is included. WiFi throughout the property.
The property has over one hundred feet of beachfront and the ocean is literally 50 steps away. A nearby point shelters the beach from open surf and provides gentle waves, perfect for swimming in the 80 something degree water. The three villas at Sendas del Mar share a beachfront infinity pool, a shaded pavilion with a full sized pool table and 3000 sq meters of grounds with tropical gardens, water lily pond and orchard. There is a large parking area inside the walls
The caretaker family lives on the premises and provides cleaning, maintenance and security services. Onsite also staff can help make arrangements for massages, private cook, fishing, golfing and surfing outings as well as sightseeing trips to nearby Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa.
Sendas del Mar is a five minute walk from the village of Barra de Potosi with its restaurants and grocery stores and its famous seafront seafood enramadas. The village also offers kayak and paddle board rentals and boat tours of the offshore islands and the lagoon, which is a birder’s paradise.
