Spacious 5-bedroom home overlooking Chacalilla Bay and jungle. Perfect for multi-family retreats. Nested in the middle of Marina Chacala, an exclusive gated community inside a natural reserve with a private beach, Casa Encanto brings the best of both worlds: a paradise for nature and beach lovers alike. The house was designed for the enjoyment of outdoor living in a secluded half acre garden with pool, traditional Mexican palapa, fully equipped kitchen, and media room. The home encompasses three independent structures surrounded by luscious tropical vegetation that connect through the expansive garden, blurring the boundaries of indoor-outdoor living as one must go outside to move from one place to another. Casita Verde is the heart of the complex. Featuring amazing ocean views, it includes a fully equipped chef’s kitchen (a great place to observe whales while cooking during the December-March whale season), and a spacious common area to enjoy the company of friends and family under a traditional Mexican palapa at the twelve-seating dining table, relax in the living room, bar, or breakfast nook. Casita Verde also has a full bathroom adjacent to the media room, a nice private spot if you feel like watching TV or need a quiet indoor space to work. Casita Amarilla is a two-story building with four independently accessed master suites. On the upper level there are two rooms, each with two double beds and a small seating area. One of the suites has a balcony where you can read and enjoy the garden and ocean views while curled up in your Acapulco chair. The two lower-level suites hide gems of their own: aside from the full indoor bathroom, the blue bedroom has an outside shower and a secluded seating area. It features a king size and a single bed, and opens to a foyer with a round, large outdoor lounge chair overlooking the garden and the ocean. The colorful yellow suite has two double beds and a small desk facing the garden where, if you must, you can work and keep an eye on the kids playing by the pool. Casita Azul is a stand-alone master suite with a king size bed, a walk-in closet and a secluded private balcony overlooking the ocean and the jungle. It is the most private space in the house, where you can completely disconnect and observe the ocean and wildlife without disruptions. Casa Encanto is a five-minute walk to the private soft sand beach through a cobble stone staircase meandering the tropical jungle, or a seven-minute stroll on the paved path surrounding the complex. You can also drive to the beach club, park your car in the parking lot and be a few steps from the shore. Guests are welcome to use a variety of entertainment items: a ping pong table, two small kayaks (youth or small adult), boogie boards, two tennis rackets, a few masks and snorkels, pool floaties, frisbees, and soccer and volleyballs to play in the garden or the court by the beach club. There are also a few board games and a small library. Marina Chacala is a gated community with a 5 km paved path for walking, jogging or biking, with plenty of tall trees and jungle to observe birds and wildlife. The two tennis and a paddle court are a fifteen-minute walk from the house, and the beach club just behind the private beach has 3 pools including an infinity pool, a lap pool and a children’s pool, a sand volleyball court, a small café selling snacks and drinks, and lounge chairs and umbrellas that are open for you by the friendly staff. Surrounded by tropical jungle and palm trees, Chacalilla beach is a calm, soft sand beach ideal for small kids and paddle boarding. At the right end side there is a natural “baby pool” most of the year, where kids can snorkel by themselves and discover a variety of marine life. Javier, our very attentive and fully bilingual house manager can arrange transportation from the Puerto Vallarta Airport, and all the extra services that will make you feel you are in a boutique hotel (minus the crowds) including grocery shopping, a great local cook, excursions (fishing, surfing, kayaking, sailing, mountain biking, hiking to a jungle river with petroglyphs, etc.), as well as in house massages, and yoga classes. Chacala is a quaint town of 400 inhabitants that still preserves an authentic traditional Mexican beach vibe. Within a seven-minute walk from the house you can go for a stroll in the large public beach to see the sunset and enjoy a meal at one of the few restaurants by the shore, practice your surfing, or just hang out by the shore. Guests need to provide a copy of ID to enter prior to their arrival and present their documents at the gate the first time they enter the premises, and are allowed to use the beach club with no extra charge. Our extremely attentive bilingual house manager will greet you and help arrange any extras you may desire. Be this private chef, deep sea fishing, whale watching, kayaking, surfing, hiking to the petroglyphs and tropical river, massages, and anything else which will make for a perfect vacation. Marina Chacala is a gated community with a 5 km paved path for walking, jogging or biking trails through the jungle and which take to the private beaches, a light house and plenty of tall trees and jungle to see lots of birds and wildlife. Chacalilla beach has great soft sand beach with the neighborhood beach club. This private club has 3 pools including an infinity pool, a sand volleyball court, a small cafe, and lounger chairs and umbrellas. Access is just 5 minutes away down a cobblestone path in the jungle or 10 minutes along paved trails. A 7 minute walk from the house will get you to the gate and the town of Chacala with many local and seafood restaurants, a few shops, stores including my favorites a gourmet bakery and cafe, as well as a great public beach. Pickup from the Puerto Vallarta (PVR) airport can be arranged for a fee. House has parking for 3 cars. Town of Chacala and all amenities are short walks (5 to 15 minutes)
