Summary: The Coyoacán neighbourhood is delightful and the Guest House is about 10 minutes walk to the plaza and 15 minutes to the Coyoacan Metro station. Frieda Kahlo’s house and the Mercado are just around the corner and the Trotsky museum is also close by. There are a few good restaurants a few minutes walk away and an Oxxo for snacks etc. Fernando and Jorge serve excellent coffee and breakfast each morning at nine but they are flexible if you need to be a little earlier or later. The shared table with other guests is an excellent way to meet fellow travellers. The standard room with a shared terrace is fine but the second one where we stayed on our return was disappointing - no terrace, a double bed and no hot water in the basin. Lots of hot water in the shower however. We really appreciated having a bag stored while we travelled to other parts of Mexico and being able to use the garden space while we waited for our afternoon flight.
