Planta is a digital nomad community and retreat center, as well as a commencing organic farm with 21 hectares of jungle conservation.
We offer great weekly and monthly rates so you can really immerse in our beautiful area or setup a home base during your travels in Oaxaca. Choose from multiple accommodation options in a natural, integrated and artistic environment with various self-managed amenities.
Apart from our conservation area, we are fortunate to be surrounded by 7 hectares of farmland that is in the process of regenerating from a once intensive monoculture to a permaculture based organic farm. Our overall project aims to incorporate different agroecological systems, such as biointensive growing beds and above all syntropic agroforestry, as well as to incorporate art and design wherever we can. Our main house is nestled among a variety of lush fruit trees, making it a very cool and comfortable place to spend time relaxing or socializing with like-minded travelers. Within our farm we offer a glamping retreat experience in the format of cabins, hostels and camping for conscious travelers near four beautiful beaches: Riscalillo, San AgustiÌn, El Coyote and El Arenal.
Your stay includes a multi-person coworking area, parking, garden views with fire pit, shared kitchen, outdoor showers, dry toilets, and Starlink WiFi. Our accommodations are built with wood and mosquito netting so you can enjoy the outdoors even when you are inside. We have our friendly cats, dogs and chickens and monthly events where you can get to know our community and meet other like-minded travelers. Note the warm climate in the general area and the lively presence of nature's smaller creatures.
Planta is located in Santa MariÌa Huatulco, 16 miles from downtown Huatulco/Crucecita, 20 miles from the entrance to Huatulco National Park (but our property borders the other side of the national park), 19 miles from Tangolunda golf course . and 6.8 Miles from Huatulco International Airport (there is the nearest ATM).
The local community is comprised by 2 villages, El Arenal Barrio de Guadalupe, and San Agustin. El Arenal, Barrio de Guadalupe: El Arenal Barrio de Guadalupe is a small, yet colorful village comprised by a cheerful and welcoming agricultural community. There you can find some stores, local produce, traditional family eateries, as well as a small chapel. It is a short and beautiful walk from planta (about 600 meters from our main house). San Agustin: San Agustin is a fishing community that has grown around the beautiful San Agustin Bay. In this area you can find dozens of restaurant palapas mainly serving local seafood. It is a great place for eating, swimming, and snorkeling.
